We do not have to live in China to speak Chinese. Our lack of understanding in the eyes of others can happen anywhere. To be a strange bird, unclear and not speaking the normal-common-standard language and other labels on the box, turns us into Chinese speakers. Forces us to translate ourselves. Only in the bathtub, we are understandable. Clear. Normal to ourselves. We are the most standard people in the room. And there is no greater fun than that.
